A lovely piece, whose juxtaposition of nature with the electrical theme and magic girl style give it a slightly quirkyfeel and add in...

I'm a British born artist, specialising in Illustrative design and 3D animation.

I currently work full time as a video games animator. My 3D software of choice is Autodesk Maya.

My illustrative work is created mainly by traditionally methods (see tools/materials below). I also do sequential/comic based work.

Post Expo Oct 09

Mon Oct 26, 2009, 2:02 AM
So it's just gone past Expo weekend. I went over for the day. The general atmosphere was kind of crazy. Big queues, lots of people, luckily few and non-agressive free huggers.
I actually managed to miss most of the people I'd gone there to see DX
But I did make a new friend. These guys were very cool. Especially the lineart. I'm a sucker for really thin lines and things drawn big.
:iconkuma-team:

Also I was pleasantly surprised at just how many people asked me whether I had a table. I haven't been a dealer in so long I thought people would have forgotten I actually make comics. Anyways, I have promised them and myself that I will aim to have produced something new and complete by next year.

I also picked up a copy of 'Talking to Strangers' by Fehed Said. Half way through reading it. He's one of the few guys in the UK manga comicing scene thing that I think actually produces great comics. He's the writer and tbh without a good story, the whole thing tend to fall apart or feel empty. Which I guess is a problem when you're just an artist wanting to draw manga. But after all it is story telling in graphic format.
Anyways the stories in the book were good, the artist *fuurin for the first story really suited it. The art for one of the stories I felt was a little rushed, but probably not noticeable if you're not a pedant like me. Also it was lovely seeing two different styles of drawing from ~FayeYong, both really lovely.

Anyways After Expo I've been working on colouring in this:

Digital colouring is hard work. I think after this I should go back to traditional XD
You can see updates to it on my sketchblog, since it now looks like its work time so no more colouring in for me.
